there's a nice persian restaurant called Shiraz on Abbeydale Road... great value for money, you can bring your own booze... also they have hubbly bubbleys for afters ;)

You want to go to a place at Crosspooll, although recently changed it's name, it's still owned by the same people etc. It was formally known as "Richard Smith @ Thyme" - Address is 32-34 Sandygate Road, Crosspool. It probably the best restaurant out there. It does cost, although well worth every penny. Check out there website thymeforfood.co.uk

Bosworth's at Bramall Lane football ground is very very nice.

It's now been split into two: Artisan downstairs and Catch (fish/seafood) upstairs. I'll be trying it for the first time next weekend. Looking forward to it, based on Thyme's reputation. They will have a website (http://www.artisanofsheffield.com/) soon, but it's still "under construction" at the moment.
