I read a book a while back where a Psychologist came to a very interesting conclusion after many years study and case histories about childless couples.
The Psychologist was of the opinion that couples who are together for a fair few years and do not have children, then one party can become 'child-like'. It was pointed out that this is more likely to be the male partner and they become 'school-boyish, and his female partner his 'mother'. However, it was also noted the other way around with the female becoming 'little girl' and wanting to be looked after by a strong male father figure.
Has anyone ever observed this to be true in friends or relatives. I haven't but I am not close to anyone in that situation.
