View Full Version : Brand new hamster just delivered.
Sam Miguel 21-05-2004, 20:33 We are now the proud owners of a new Syrian hamster to replace Tiddles who died on Wednesday.
It was so sad that day.
He goes by the name of Agent Pipsqueak, and - as soon as he has completed his induction period - he will be assigned to his first mission, possibly in around two week's time.
I will keep you posted.
evildrneil 21-05-2004, 20:41 Double check he isn't a lemming - you don't want his first mission to be his last...
Sam Miguel 21-05-2004, 20:43 I'll check that one, Evil. Thanks for the alert.
A.B.Yaffle 21-05-2004, 20:50 We had to keep our Hamuel away from the pc to stop him reading the sad news about Tiddles... he would have been so upset!
Sam Miguel 21-05-2004, 21:28 Oh well, Tiddles is at peace now.
kittykat 21-05-2004, 23:54 Im sorry to hear about your hamster i havent been on for a while so i never knew of the tragic event.
I myself have just purchased 2 hamsters but am afraid to say i am beginning to get very ANNOYED with them. They keep me awake all night with their running around on the wheel (that needs oiling by the sound of it) and if i take it away i am kept awake by the feelings of evil-ness for taking away their only source of entertainment in their baron, prison like home, and the rustling around of the frantic hamsters trying to find where the hell its gone. Good luck with the new hamster, i hope it isnt a biter.
PS: Have you ever noticed how they NEVER eat the dark green cylindrical things you get in hamster food?
A.B.Yaffle 22-05-2004, 11:34 Hamuel eats most of his food, and we have started giving him a small bowl of salad as well which he loves! In fact, i'm sure he would live on strawberries, cucumber and cheese if we allowed him to!
His wheel was very noisy when it was new, but we took it off it's axel and smeared a little bit of margarine on it and now it is really silent.
Is that because he's always licking it instead of running on it or does he keep slipping off? Soz - couldn't resist
A.B.Yaffle 22-05-2004, 18:39 Or maybe its coz we tie his paws behind his back every night! lol
Sam Miguel 23-05-2004, 09:52 They don't have paws, they have feet. No legs, just feet. Honest. Next time you see one, take a look.
A.B.Yaffle 23-05-2004, 22:57 Hamuel has got very short arms and legs... I just checked lol!
Captain_Scarlet 24-05-2004, 00:31 Hey San Miguel.
Nice to see Tiddles has a replacement.
Long live Agent Pipsqueak, may the Force be with him.
noseyrosie 25-05-2004, 15:19 Hehehe you should get him a little mini bowtie!!! Awww!!!
Ned Ludd 25-05-2004, 15:26 Don't let him near Rosey's ferrets, it could be carnage!
Always provides amusment delving into S Miguels posts to get the latest on his exploits
more than often makes me laugh! :D

Sam Miguel 25-05-2004, 16:58 Thanks, Bedhead. Yes, Tiddles is being sadly missed, but Agent Pipsqueak is coming along niclely. We are planning a cagewarming party for him once he settles in. I think that would be a nice touch, eh?
:D :D
haha - yea i think he'd appreciate that! he got many hamster mates then? or i guess he's a young 'un - plenty of time for that

Hehe my mum had that worry too. We had to wait till our hamsters had...gone to the big wheel in the sky before we got our ferrets!
Sam Miguel 10-06-2004, 17:36 I thought I'd let you know - Agent Pipsqueak escaped last night. Someone left the door on the top of the cage open and he must have got out and fallen off the unit onto the floor.
Poor little mite.
The first I knew was when I was having a cup of tea before work this morning when I saw a creamy, furry thing scurry behind the cooker in the kitchen.
To cut a long story short: I only just managed to get to work on time and Agent Pipsqueak is a nervous little wreck after his night-long ordeal.
What did he get up to, have you found out yet?
Sam Miguel 10-06-2004, 19:22 God only knows. He must have been wandering around the kitchen and dining-room all night.
Well, I hope the reconnaissance helped him, that he made the most of the precious time he had - that could have been his only chance. Hope he recovers soon.
