Yesterday I opened the back door to let LouLou in and nearly shat myself when a big Ginger tom cat was staring up at me. He just meowed strutted past me walked upstairs sniffed our bed turned round went back downstairs and got comfy in front of the fire.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but this is not the way to get your other halfs parents to like you is it. Cheeky little so and so.....:hihi:

Then this morning I opened the living room window and he just came in and got comfy again? :suspect:

I dont think he's a stray, he doesn't have fleas and looks well fed although he doesn't have a collar on.

I've put some food down for him but he's not interested, he just struts around then buggers off.

LuLu is a bit of a tart but I've never known cats do this before??? :D

A few questions that I'd be asking...

1. What do his parents do? (catching mice is cool, eating whiskers cat food and getting fat whilst looking out of the window is not constructive)

2. What are his intentions? (is he just going to abandon her as soon as he gets told off for going in other peoples houses?)

3. Toilet habits... does he always remember to paw after he has been, or does he just walk off leaving his business for your little girl to clear up?

4. How often does he groom?

5. How many mice per calendar month does he catch?

6. Challange him head on about his behaviour - he'll either come back to her (if he really likes her) or find someone else's daughter to make a fool of.

7. Ask him if he is a natural ginger, or dyed ginger for pulling more cat chicks.

8. Does he use protection? - i.e. is he vaccinated?

9. How many lives has he lost? If he is on his 7th - this could lead to upset if he ends up transitioning to his 8th (8th's don't tend to happen).

10. Does he prefer milk or water? (living costs).

I think once you have a handle on all this, you'll at least know what to expect. Afterall, you don't want your little girl turning into "alley cat trash".

Good luck!

Thanks for that hun. :D

I mean clearly he has no manners so what Lucy see's in him is behond me. Maybe his family have a share in Felix or Whiskers I dunno

I'm gonna be keeping a very close eye on this little guy to find out what his intentions are with my Lucy.

She seems happy enough:love:

Glad to be of service Raychul.

I hate to sound rude, but if you ever catch him having a little sniff at Lucy's bottom, it could well be love.

No, she's just checking to see if he is a real ginner....

This has to be the most seriously funny threads I've seen for a long time.

I might have to stop reading it, in case I become dehydrated, due to crying with laughter, and because it hurts laughing this much, and I have a very low pain threshold.:hihi:

Keep us updated Raychul. It would be great to see an SF wedding. I get to buy a new hat.

My great aunt (and god mother I think) has a house out near Birmingham and her house is always full of cats and none of them belong to her :) cats in her local area come around for a bit of food and attention and warmth and sit infront of the fire when its cold or out in the sun on the grass when its nice and warm :) its nothing particually unusual, wouldn't worry.

I have the same problem at the moment! Felix (male) is bringing a "friend" home. I say "friend" as I thought it was a male cat. Well still do!!

The said friend comes to the back door - looks in the cat flap which is collor activiated by felix - Felix then goes to let his mate in. They dine together and then decided to share the rug near the fire!

At first I didnt mind but this is getting regular and sometimes Felix has gone out and the said mate is in his bed waiting for me to return home to top the food bowls up.

Maybe they could have a double wedding, if said friend is female! :hihi:

Oh come on, he's a ginner - he will end up doing an impression of a giant panda - eats shoots and leaves :hihi:

If you're looking for serious responses (I know, I know- bringing the tone of the humour down!) then the only thing I have to say is if both of them are neutered and he's not beating her up, eating her food, spraying your house or leaving you nasty things like fleas or dead animals about the place, then what's the problem?

I know for a fact that some of my cats go visiting, and I used to have a couple of part timers who visited me too. None of them are hungry, abused or confused about where they live- they just seem to like being with their cat chums and meeting new people. Contrary to what most people think, many cats are very sociable with other cats, and lots of cats feel the need for a snuggle and some home comforts if and when their own humans are out.

When my cats visit other people and other people's cats visit me they're invariably well-mannered and don't do anything that they wouldn't do in their own home, but I never offer them food and ask neighbours to do the same with mine, just in case they do decide that they prefer the neighbour's house and try to move away.

I think it's really sweet that LouLou has a friend with whom she's happy to share her territory (it's important to remember that a tom's territory may include several territories of queens that he interacts with and may defend if necessary)- it's really up to you whether you mind her friend coming in the house, but I wouldn't imagine that there's anything bad happening.

Maybe put a collar on him with a message to try to find out where he actually lives- just so you know that he is being looked after properly and getting the flea treatment he needs etc.

Just to add BTW, my lovely ginger girl Merlin used to have a very ardent boyfriend, a very handsome and sexy black boy named Samson, who I used to find sitting on the doorstep and serenading her (he also had an air about him that made me think he'd have brought flowers and a bottle of wine if he could). I always thought it was sweet the way they used to play together in the garden and wash each other's ears.

My little hand reared black and white feral monster Baby has a boyfriend too- he's a little hand reared black and white feral monster called Oscar, who lives in the next street. I've even talked to his humans- they are similarly happy that he's found someone to play with and sit talking round the village watering hole (the water feature in the garden).

Just watch out! Our little Smitch had a boyfriend and it all turned nasty, now we hear their domestics at about 2am as she chucks him out the catflap to crawl back to where he came from!

But - seriously, please don't feed him. One of our cats used to go and say hi to people and we ended up losing her for a good while as someone kept feeding her milk, the trouble is, as much as she loved it (so kept going back) it made her very sick.

You don't know what food intolerances they have so please don't feed them but the rest I'm sure is harmless! It's nice she has a friend! Shame he doesn't respect you though :suspect:

Little hussy! Let her have her fun provided she's been spayed and doesnt end up a single parent with a dozen kids.
