View Full Version : Coach Trip, C4 2.55pm
Anyone else care to admit a fondness for Channel 4’s pound-shop reality show Coach Trip which started it’s second series this week?
Seven couples and tour guide Brendan act like typical brits abroad as they travel around Europe for a month or so. The couples vote on who they don’t like at the end of the day in the hope of them leaving.
Strangely compulsive viewing! Set your videos for 2.55pm.
I think it's fantastic!
it's part cultural tour of Europe, part Big Brother, but with more realistic people.
The tour guide, Brendan, is the best. he's always holding his head in his hands, shaking it in despair at the rabble he's got lumbered with. Bless!
diskoheaven 24-05-2006, 15:07 I saw an advert for it, and I'm gutted to be stuck in the library so I can't see it :(
They're filming series 3 now due to be shown next year some time. Anyone else hooked on the repeats on Sky3 and Sky Real Lives?

I watch it to see all the scenery around Europe!:P
Oh..Okay...some of the inevitable conflicts are fun to watch!
Sky Real lives is good because if you see a good bit you can watch it all again on Sky Real Lives + 1.:hihi:
As Brendan would say:
"Right guys!":hihi:
Isn't Brendan from Rotherham?

I don't know, but he is a good guide and makes the programme very watchable.
I loved it when Brendan got a bit bitchy about the other guide in Gibralta trying to steal his thunder!:hihi:
And the episode where he fell out with his driver was funny too!:hihi:
Forget big brother, they should just do a "live" Coach Trip, now that would be compulsive viewing!
Brilliant programme, especially the vote infront of each other.

No, that's not me but I know them, well Ann mainly. :)

wobblywill 25-05-2009, 17:42 i've watched it tonight and I can't really see what, if anything, ann and Jeff did wrong. It must be very hard to nominate someone after only a day or so.

Ann didn't come across very well, she is so bright and bubbly, the life and soul of any party and everyone loves her.
.
cressida 25-05-2009, 19:10 Have watched this programme in the past, so glad it's on again.
Poor old Jeff and Ann. Tactical voting if ever I saw it. Ann was devastated when she got back.

Welshboyhere 27-05-2009, 16:31 URGH Graham and Ivy are AWFUL! I met him once on a tv programme, he is a sad wannabe, check his website, blurgh! http://www.starnow.co.uk/grahamp !!!!! IDIOT!
I liked the Sheffield couple, but she was bitching behind the others backs quite a lot, but that was funny.

Ann wasn't keen on Graham and that's putting it mildly. :)
.
Commoner 27-05-2009, 20:40 I think its funny and it really is different, I'd love to see the uncut version.
Omid Djalili did a really good skit on it the other week. :hihi:

Looks like they will be off pretty soon! He has a nasty temper and is a very ignorant man. When I met him it was on a karaoke show recording for itv and he was very loud and obnoxious. He really thinks he is something special but he is a sad old man trying to be young and famous!
cressida 01-06-2009, 16:30 Graham and Ivy off the coach thank goodness, the rest are so happy and relaxed now - some people make a nasty atmosphere
wobblywill 01-06-2009, 16:46 I think the whole group will be much more relaxed now. I think Graham and Ivy were causing a bit of an atmosphere and showed themselves up to be who they really are - not very nice people. Good riddance
Welshboyhere 01-06-2009, 17:04 YEY! They really showed their true colours, nasty nasty people. Poison Ivy? More like Limp weed!
i saw Jeff and Ann in Morrisons the other day, and got all giddy. I was going to go and speak to them but but the OH thought I was being pathetic and i didnt know if they'd still be miffed at being the first to get the boot :D
Its a shame we never got to know them a bit better..unlike those two scoatie lads and I can't stand that James and Tracey :gag:
I missed it Monday and Tuesday...does anyone know if either one of the couples I've mentioned has been given the boot?

TAYLORWILKIN 03-03-2010, 09:01 HI, wot do you yhink of the "click" , i think it is unfair to the others, they don't stand a chance. It is really annoying me !!!!!!!!!!

Very selfish - I think a week would be enough for me unless we were due to visit a really interesting place like the Pyramids, but I don't think they know which cities they are going to in advance
Did anyone else enjoy the flirting between Brendan and the Greek chap last night? Hillarious.
Coach Trip is one of these programmes I can't help but watch, along with rubbish like Airline and Come Dine With Me.

I'm an avid Coach Trip watcher but i can't work out why I like it lol!
cressida 08-04-2010, 17:58 Oh dear, just caught tonight's episode and please - producers - get some people on who don't show the Brits. up - half of them were laughing as the guide explained the centuries old papermaking to them
Great series, Brendan absolutley makes it.
cressida 18-04-2010, 20:19 Brendan is great, perfect for the job - his surname is Sherrin any relation to the late Ned Sherrin I wonder
Billy Casper 18-04-2010, 20:54 Did anyone see that common 'oik' of a woman from Rotherham? Voted off after just 3 days :hihi:
dieselbabe 23-04-2010, 12:10 I love this programme i seen it from the very start it was first aired. If i was no to camera shy i love to apply for the show. Brendan is great for this programme his wit makes me laugh, if ever he is replaced it wont be the same. Why was them two from that pop band on it, really irritated me them two, they never liked it when someone els try to steal the lime light, so happy them two went, two stuck up A lister wannabe.
Is it sad, that I was sad, that last night was the last episode? I'll miss Brendan cheering me up after work!
BananaSplit 23-04-2010, 13:53 There's an hours recap tonight Tess - with Brendan telling us his fave bits etc!
gina2007 23-04-2010, 21:00 Oh im so glad its not just me that has the reminder on sky for this! And have it set to record incase I miss it!!!! I love it, and im really sad that its not on anymore!! x

We used to do this in the staff-room where you could auction off dogy kids for goodlooking lads and lasses. The trick was to find female colleague to pair up with.
