Here are my two:

Merlin (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f40/ppn_2204/2005_0821Image0124.jpg) - He's part-Bengal and just three. He's a beautiful, intelligent and happy little creature who curls up on the desk next to me while I'm working, occasionally waking for a cuddle.

Jesse (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f40/ppn_2204/jesse2.jpg) - She's an utterly psychotic ex-stray of indeterminate age. She has a lovely loud purr, but also an unfortunate fondness for swiping at people's legs as they walk past. If the mood takes her, she'll sometimes run at someone full tilt for a flying attack. She is lovely though, honestly.

Does this group have a seek and destroy policy for abuse by the anti-cat (and anti-dog/insert pet of choice) brigade? :suspect:

;) Anybody diving into a thread for a quick rant on how much they hate dogs/cats/animals in general without joining in sensibly will be subject to the usual forum rules :)

My favourite Brude pic (http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e393/SFStrix/Brude/?action=view&current=5dd99bbe.jpg)

Three photo's of our cocker spaniel. Fergus. The 'would you have shared a sandwich with this dog' caption refers to the title of an old thread I started. And he doesn't appear on his webcam anymore ;)

On the 7th June 2006 a little spotty boy entered our lives :D

We already had the delicious Takara (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/Lottiepics/Takara/DSCF0949.jpg) but now she was to throw down the title of 'only dog'

Here came Edward! Edward is also liver and white just like Takara but he came from a rescue rather than a breeder and he's 11 years old.

He loves Takara and together they've already ganged up on me to evict me from my bed! http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/Lottiepics/Takara/ourbed.jpg

They are also partners in crime and display the same guilty expression (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/Lottiepics/Takara/itwasntus.jpg)!

Nobody is allowed in without their say so... Who goes there?! (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/Lottiepics/Takara/whogoesthere.jpg)

And love the park! http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/Lottiepics/Takara/sittingtogether.jpg

Nice looking dogs Lotti. i've got spots before mi eyes!!!
Bet they're a handful when playing.

Lotti
08-06-2006, 21:44
Lol thanks guys,

Astraman - they don't tend to be because Edward is 11 years old and so he doesn't tend to play in the house, they are still finding their feet with each other though so who knows!

In the park though, you wouldn't want to get in their way!

Rooty
08-06-2006, 21:54
Aaarrrr, they're so cute together! I love the guilty expression photo

Lotti
09-06-2006, 12:32
thanks Rooty :D

They've been asleep in the shade today with their heads next to one another :D

It's so nice that Takara has a companion other than me!

Also - he's obviously not been allowed on the sofa for the past 11 years and Takara has stopped laying on the sofa! We've had so much difficulty training her not to and he comes along and now she wants to sleep on the floor!

Strix
09-06-2006, 12:39
:hihi: I bet you guys have your hands full! Though it sounds like Edward is a good influence on Takara ;)

How did he wind up coming to you Lotti?
I thought they'd found him somewhere else and it was all off?

Lotti
09-06-2006, 22:22
I know! That's the dogs! Honestly! I tidy it and then Takara drags everything out trying to get her toy box from under the bed!

Strix - the other person couldn't take him afterall so they called us back!

Thanks Sam  we are having lots of fun, and what's more so are they!

They love each other and have been laid with their heads together all day today!

Teddy has something on his eye, like a stye or a small growth or something and Takara keeps trying to make it better

aw sweet guinea pigs! It's not just dogs and cats we loves to see all sorts! If I had anything else I'd post piccies of them too! Other than the cats and dogs I only have 3 fish and don't post pics of them because a) they're boring fish and b) you can't see them at the moment because I need to clean their tank! (oops!)

Lovely piccies everyone!

He's recently moved to my parent's house to take advantage of their huge back garden, which means he's moved in with Maisie, my parent's Westie. I'll try and get a picture of them together next time I'm over there.

He was Tess- he was in the Shelter from the end of 1996 to September 1997- we have at least one cat a year who I think is related to him. Even Baby looks like him when she's in 'one of those moods'.

Thats a long time for a cat to be in the shelter :( How old was he when he passed on?

medusa
15-07-2006, 21:35
He was 13 when I adopted him (that and the fact that he had been abused and was very twitchy and occasionally violent were the reasons why he was there so long) and was 15 when he died. The day he decided to trust me instead of attack me when he encountered something that scared him was pretty wonderful knowing his history.

Does anyone have any clues into what breeds this dog might be? She's my Mums, and she was sold as a german shepherd x border collie, which we now know (obviously!!!) is not what she is. Her name is Bracken, and even though she's a Heinz 57 (maybe thats 357!!) she's still beautiful!

He's a Rex rabbit, and the velvet like fur is unique to that breed. He feels wonderful Lol.

Bracken is a lovely dog, and shes about the size of a whippet. She has so much energy, she has to walk for about ten miles a day in order for her to be able to sleep at night. And she loves to swim - my Mum has a really big paddling pool thingy in the back garden, and she dives in it as soon as she goes outside!

First of all you register with one of the online photo hosting places, like photobucket. Then you host your piccies on there, and post a link to them on here.

If you do the first couple of steps there are loads of people online who will help you with the third (me included).

Here's 7 pics of our three reprobates. They are all "rescue" cats.

Gemma, the Tortie and white

Pinto.....(I'm the Man about Town) my special pal

Scoffer....the oldest of the three, but the newest to us. The little tent in the garden photo acts as a shelter for them when it rains. And of course it is impossible to make a bed when they get kipped out on it....so

Three in a Garden (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d65/shoeshine22/18222c5a.jpg)

For my delectation tonight, my "Man about Town" Pinto dropped a live mouse at my feet as I started to organise the photos for this particular post. :o

The Mighty Mouse was released outside unharmed after a nightmare 10 minutes of searching in the Lounge. It was just like a scene from "Mousehunt"! :hihi:

Hecate

I love the one of the three of them in the garden. It looks like they've aranged themselves to be equidistant apart, right on the edges of their own little territorial patches.

I'm spotting a trend with your cats too, Shoeshine. If it's possible, they're even lazier than my two!

Tracie
07-08-2006, 08:20
Aww... I've just had time to catch up with this thread - what beautiful cats! Amos' fur is such a gorgeous colour!

Initially I couldn't see the third cat in your 'three cats on a bed' picture, Shoeshine - then at last minute I spotted him nesting on the pillow at the top - what a sweetie! I love the way they have placed themselves almost an equal distance apart on the bed, just to make sure they have all the available space covered :P

purdyamos
07-08-2006, 09:01
What lovely cats, Shoeshine. They've obviously got the diplomatic space-sharing down to a tee. But have you seen the thread about dancing cats on I'm bored? I think you'll discover what Pinto gets up to when you're out!

shoeshine
07-08-2006, 10:09
The black male cat Scoffer chases the Tortie and White female Gemma through the cat flap at a great rate of knots, almost supersonic sometimes. She doesn't like him at all.

The younger male cat Pinto gets on well with Gemma, but disappears most of the time, doing his "checking" of this whole area, a multiplicity of car bumpers, wheels and the contents of vans in the street outside. It's a nightmare; every plumber, electrician and delivery van driver arriving locally means I have to warn them to check their vehicles before they drive away.

He's my particular cat, though and I particularly adore him.
He was becoming semi-feral and would scratch and bite when we first took him in. He's calmed down now, thank goodness. He thinks he is "The Gaffer" around here, but of course he isn't! :hihi:
A local magpie has taken to bullying him when he's out and about.
Maybe his colour pattern seems to be a threat or a possible competitor to the bird.

I'll check the I'm Bored Section out purdyamos. Thanks for the tip.

Our two lovely fancy rats. Slinks is white and Grey, Buffy is hiding underneath.

Then there's Kit-Kat (http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g254/fox20thc/PIC_0009.jpg) the he cat with attitude.. and a superior stare :hihi:

And the tiniest family member Scruffy (http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g254/fox20thc/scruff1.jpg)the dwarf hamster but by far the fastest in the family :P

Are they lovely or what! :D

The rats look like a couple of little devils! You gonna have your hands full there once they get bigger and more playful.

I let them out in the living room for what I have been informed is titled "playtime or roaming playtime!" Buffy just had a good old nose around and came to sit on my feet, Slinky tried to leg it under the sofa, I hope shes not paranoid!

The dwarf hammy is cool, we had to buy him a special teeny weeny hamster ball that he could push :hihi:

The slightly wild eyed look is a result of the fact that she had just being playing pounce with her favourite toy :D

This (http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i162/Sweet_Pea_2006/?action=view&current=Vincent.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1) is a very blurry picture of Vincent, my new bunny baby. I really struggled to get a photo of him - he's not keen on the camera at all :( Incidentally, if anyone has any idea what kind of rabbit breed he is, I'd be interested to know! I thought he might be some kind of satin angora cross, but I'm no expert :)

Thanks Grinder :) I did wonder if Vince might be a lionhead or a lionhead cross, as he looks very similar to the lionhead our friends have. However, he's much bigger than their lionhead and 'shorter' in the body, if that makes sense! :D

He's recently moved to my parent's house to take advantage of their huge back garden, which means he's moved in with Maisie, my parent's Westie. I'll try and get a picture of them together next time I'm over there.

yep he is most definatley bonkers!! he picks fights with any pot ornaments in the garden, eats any kind of plant going (particularly fond of roses) and is just a genral all round crack-pot........but he's such a lovley dog!:) we've had him 5 weeks and after 3 of those weeks he became house trained, which i was really impressed with. the only problem (for us not for him!) is that when its raining he wants to pee on the kitchen floor so he doesnt have to go outside and get his little paws wet!:suspect: so far we've lost a new 6 week old carpet and a 7 week old dining table due to his excessive chewing, but rather than feel the need to explode with anger when i catch him in the act i just smile at him as he looks at me as if to say "but i am a puppy", this dog is making me feel all strange.........in a nice way:loopy:

Yup - I'd be surprised if she isn't a GSD/Staffie cross :)

I wonder how big she's going to get?

I would love her to be huge so she keeps our house safe.

A huge dog is a big commitment. Having a dog isn't all about keeping your house safe, she'll need walking (and if she's a big as Kacey is, a small child or a small woman for that matter won't be able to walk her), she'll need a LOT of excercise, a lot of food... Plus people will be more afraid of her due to her size.

well we cant walk her till next week but we cant wait to take her out to the park. We are responsible for her actions and we make sure she knows right from wrong and I feel this is how most dogs are let down a dog is like a child they turn out like you bring them up.

Hi - just thought I would add a message - have looked at rules and don't think this breaks any as I am not including any links - so if anyone wants to book early for a dog/pet art portrait (drawings) for Christmas best to do it soon! I took the pictures at the Ecclesfield Gala Dog Show for this forum so many of you saw my drawings that day. If you want to see images please sent private message and take it from there. Satisfaction assured - you don't like, you don't pay.... Thanks Danny

Bluesandtwos I just absolutely love all your huskies but the little girl who has amazing eyes is just too gorgeous to mention.

You have all probably seen my baby boy, my partner thinks he is glued to my hip and he never leaves my side and is completely jelous if I even look at another dog.

cant remember my photobucket login so will try and pick my original one up. :D
