HI, I'm 15 and currently looking for a job but most of the places I go to say no because they want 16 and over saturday people. I think this is highly unfair because we need to feel more independant with ourselves. Plus we won't need to beg money from our parents either.

I think its a great idea for under 16s to have jobs. Why not! You can pay your own mobile phone bill then!

I worked as a waitress in a pub when I was still at school. Perhaps you could ask around your local pubs to see if they need anyone.

An excellent way to keep down the price of Nike trainers;)
Breweries should be able to get junior school kids in for a few hours every day.

i want a job at my local, but the times id be most usefull is when 15 yr olds shouldt be in pubs

i have a morning paper round and get £8 a week which helps me along, but i want something more permanant but flexable because i go out occasionally and am not here on a friday and saturday

How about helping the milkman? When I was at school a couple of friends used to do this on saturdays and in holiday periods and it paid much better than a paper round.

i got a job at sainsburys when i was just 15. there are quite a few jobs that you can do at 15, you just need to look around and see what you can find. sometimes not very many hours, because of the laws whilst you are still at school etc. the food stands on the morr have taken people i know under 16, also helping out on busy market stands in castle market n tht. another option is doing someyhing like being an avon representative, you have to get someone like your mum or dad to sign up for it and everything but they encorage young people to actually do the work. can pay pretty well if you are in an area that isnt already covered!

o and answering the question.. i think jobs for under 16's is a great idea! :P

But don't rush too fast - you will probably spend the next 50 years of your life working, so enjoy your free time whilst you still have it! :)

the age old dillema, lots of time and no cash, or lots of cash and no time.

try betterware or avon, i delivered betterware catalogues for a year, made about £20 a week.

I had a job at 15 - Saturdays and holidays only of course, in a cycle shop. I got it after I did work experience for 2 weeks and they asked me to stay on - but that was, like, 14 years ago so things might have changed now. But worth a shot
