Hello people, its my birthday in a couple of weeks ( i'll be twen five) I'm looking for something interesting to do, i don't just want to go to some pubs or have a meal, I also fancy doing something energetic in the day time too but nothing expensive.

Any ideas people my birthday happiness could be in your hands

I've never used them, but their site might be a good place to get some ideas for alternative (fun) things to do on your birthday - i.e. you could get an idea from their site and then arrange it yourself... probably cheaper ;)

I'm going Ape this Thursday in Sherwood forest, I will let you know what its like, basically you swing around in the trees and make a monkey of yourself.

Hi I'm 25 aswell soon, for the daytime you could try Go Karting or Paintballing, or cable skiing at Rother Valley in the daytime, and out on the **** at night.

Have you thought about pass the parcel with bottles of beer wrapped up with all your mates!
or musical statues the more you drink the harder it gets!

i'd recommend paintball and karting too. Paintball should be on a different day to ur evening out or you'll be too knackered to focus on drinking properly.

or go somewhere different for the night out, train to london, cheap hotel, flight to amsterdam and youth hostel, etc...

Well I went and it was good fun, takes about 40 mins from Sheffield, costs £15 and takes 2/3 hours.

We went in midweek, but the people who work there say it gets packed at weekends and you need to get there early or late

9.30 or 5.30

What exactly did you do?

Basically you get a harness put on and there is a rope and wire course to navigate around, its all at high level in the trees in the forest, not that high though.

There are zip wires, tightrope sections, swing ropes, cargo netting, at all times you are attached to a safety wire by the harness, so its pretty safe as long as you follow what they tell you in the briefing.
