My PC at home for some unknown reason now boots up without mouse drivers and I'm not sure how to fix it! (Typing this at work as I can get on).
Can you move the cursor without a mouse using the keyboard somehow?

yes you can use the keyboard. Can't remember the keys offhand, but I am sure someone will on here.
What OS are you running?
If you mouse worked previously and then suddenly stopped working, it is probably a duff mouse. Have you tried a different mouse?

Windows 98 - space to scroll, arrow keys to move the cursor, enter to left click, escape to cancel/exit, alt+tab to switch between open applications... erm.. that's all i can remember at the moment!!! Hope it's useful!
Use your 'windows' key to access the 'start' menu or Alt-S. Holding the Alt key down and the underlined letter on most windows applications menus will let you access the menu options.
