Alan Kelly? I think some objectivity is required here!

Played in a World Cup, stayed loyal to his club and was a model professional not to mention him being renowned international goalkeeper.

Not a bad team sufc_tom but would have Czech in goal. Schmeichel
good for entertainment value only.

Now I definitely have to disagree with you here mate :hihi:
Cech better than Pete- never in a million years.

You will NEVER see a better goalkeeper on these shores again like big pete.

The bloke was one in a million for me- and the worlds best ever IMO.

Schmeichel was no doubt a great goalie...but I am a blade and had to mix the team up a bit. However, he had one of the best defenses in the country during his tenure...Who's to say Alan Kelly with that amount of protection could not have been as good as successful?

Also special mentions have to go out to David Seaman, Nigel Martyn, Neville Southall and Steve Ogrizyovic (is that how you spell it). All good professionals.

Alan Kelly was good- and he is in my top 10 keeps of all time in the UK but Schmikes was something else.

The amount of times the bloke saved us in 1 on 1 situations was genius and I remember watching one of the best saves of all time open mouthed vs Rapid Vienna- absolutely amazing.

Agreed with the others as well- I also like Shay Given when he is on form.

Schmeichel's stats at Man Utd including domestic and euro:-
392 appearances 178 clean sheets plus 1 goal against Villa.
Czech stats at Chelsea :-
70 appearances 42 clean sheets and record of 1025 minutes of clean sheet until McKenzie of Norwich beat it.
Not bad for 2 seasons, think he might do as good as if not better than Peter.Even got same 1st name. :D

Forgive my spelling - not the best players in every position but a team I would like to watch in the Premiership and an eye on the Champions League

No room for Sardines from the trawler - thought he was man marked out of games in Europe
