I think you're in for a lot of pain, my mate was on pain killers so strong he couldn't remember his name.

thanx i am and im on really strong tabs aint painkillers though it like im floating cheers

these are very painful my mum was sedated when she had them and still suffers now also has tiny scars from were the blisters was she started with them in head then down left side it was like she had been burnt but was really ill

I had them many years ago in the middle of my back. Had some tablets for treatment (began with F?) and painkillers as i was warned they can be painful. But generally they never gave my a problem apart from the odd bite like feel.

isnt it brought on by stress the blisters was the worst by far

i had shingles last november and i was off work for 10 weeks,the pain was horrible,and i felt so ill,it attacks your immune system leaving you tired and lethargic all the time ,at times now i still fell tired alot.i hope you get well soon

You arent pregnant are you? My friend Kerry is having a baby on Thursday and she had it a few months ago, apparently its really common in pregnant women.

yes it is chicken pox that causes the shingles virus in adults ive been told that they are very painfull ads well. the chicken pox virus is going round my 4 year old son has just got them hes now off school for 2 weeks. u have to keep away from pregnant women if you have them .

I can honestly say I don’t envy you with what you’re going through...

I had shingles a few years back brought on by stress... for the first couple of days before being diagnosed of having shingles… I felt really achy… my shoulders & arms were the worst… I thought I was coming down with the flu or something it was awful… that was until i became itchy one afternoon at work and was told to see the nurse...

The nurse told me i'd got shingles and to take time off as there were a couple of people in my department that were pregnant so had to keep clear of them… I think in all I was off a couple of weeks…

Its to do with the nerve endings apparently… hence why your so sore when you scratch and are so unbearably painful after...

Unfortunately for me mine were all around the lower part of my shoulder blades & top of my rib cage both sides… so was unable to wear a bra for about a week or so… had to wear supported vest tops… good job I was signed off work... :blush: :hihi:

All you can do is try not to scratch and rest up… I used a lot of calamine lotion on my blisters to keep them cool… takes that slight itch away too…
