Nomme mr.blaze 14-05-2004, 09:29 I will find out for you. I've had them in town I just can't remember where. But I'll make it my duty to find out coz I miss them hehe. peace. Andy78 14-05-2004, 09:29 Devionshire cat serves pretty much every beer in the world. slh73 14-05-2004, 10:44 Frog and Parrot and the Cavendish both do Hoegaarden RPG 14-05-2004, 11:17 Devonshire Cat stocks Hoegaarden (Normal, Grand Cru & Forbidden Fruit), as well as Erdinger on tap and several of the Varients of it. Regarding fruit beers, again, Dev Cat is the only pub to sell cherry and strawberry beer on tap, as well as having a full range of lambic beers in bottles. mccsh 14-05-2004, 12:00 Thanks a lot. Looks like I'll be calling at The Devonshire Cat then! I *think* its called the lounge.. Andy78 14-05-2004, 19:58 yeah, the lounge does leffe and hoegarden as well as san miguel on tap Tony 15-05-2004, 08:01 Yea but Erdinger and Hoegaarden are wheat beers - I assume that's what youre looking for? In which case it can only be the Dev Cat. There are maybe half a dozen bottled wheat beers in addition to the draught. tas1 16-05-2004, 08:30 All bar one does both I think - if you want to try some different wheat beers then head out to the Kelham Island Tavern - they have a few different ones, and the extension has been finished. Hopefully the beer garden will be transformed soon - real sun trap. Speedy 16-05-2004, 20:45 RSVP ,and thats one near varsity..Muse is it called? They serve hoegarden.. over £3 quid tho.... slh73 16-05-2004, 21:00 Back to my previous post...the Cavendish doesnt do it anymore...went in this afternoon looking forward to a pint of hoegaarden, and theyve got rid of it Speedy 16-05-2004, 21:32 Yup because its too expensive for your student type thats why.... slh73 16-05-2004, 21:52 Im not a student. RPG 16-05-2004, 23:00 Originally posted by Speedy Yup because its too expensive for your student type thats why... Im a student, and its not too expensive for me. Infact I was drinking stuff which is over £6 a pint the other day :P Speedy 17-05-2004, 09:21 Hmmm rich daddies?LOL, but seriously thats why it has been taken out of places because for people who go out a few times a week, why would they pay £3+ when they have other beers.largers for a fraction of the price! mr.blaze 17-05-2004, 10:17 I forgot to mention if you are ever passing through Kidsgrove there is a small real ale pub called The Bluebell just behind the station that does the best pint of Erdinger in the UK. Jim219 17-05-2004, 14:34 "why would they pay £3+ when they have other beers.largers for a fraction of the price!" Simply because Hoegaarden is in a league of its own. vampy 17-05-2004, 17:18 you could try Forum Bar, i know they do leffe + hoegarden. x Romario 17-05-2004, 18:56 Hey Go to the New Barrack Taver on Penistone road, very cheap, great food & all the continental beers you could wish for & they come in the matching glass!, Framboisse beers, etc ! Looks a ****hole from the front, but a goldmine inside. Opposit the dogtrack! slh73 17-05-2004, 21:09 Originally posted by Speedy Because Id rather pay £3+ for a decent pint that pay £1.50 for a glass of fizzy ***** |
