Quantum Leap was great! I loved the episode when he sang Imagine to the girl on the porch. . and then told her about the Beatles but didn't want to tell her what happened to John Lennon, remember that one? it was so sad.

Jeri's nice, but I always preferred Terry Farrell myself. Although, and I really hate to admit it, but Kate Mulgrew is kinda cute.

I love Quantum Leap, and I really wish they'd do a reunion. Quite enjoying Scott Bakula in Enterprise at the moment. Anyone watch the Enterprise season finale on Sky One tonight?

Enterprise was pretty cool tonight - rather enjoyed it.

It was a neat cliff hanger for the next series - glad that it's been retained for a 4th Season. Based on previous ST series - TNG, DS9 and Voyager - they all seemed to take off in Series 3 onwards.

And next week Sky One start running Klingon based stories from the different ST series. I still wnat to know what dreadful thing (except for improvements in prosthetic make up) happened to the Klingons between TOS and TNG....;-)

It's all that head-butting.

Yeah, tonight's finale was fun. It's gonna be a long Summer waiting to see how this pans out.

I get how Archer ended up where he is, and I'm presuming Enterprise got there the same way. But I really wanna know what's up with that alien.

Mind you, it wasn't quite as good as last week's, but pretty good. The show's really taken off this year. The last few eps have been pretty compelling viewing, IMO.

Yes, the creators shook the sand off their sandals and got some decent scripts done.

There was a serious risk in Series 2 that they were getting to the 'can't be arsed' stage. I stuck with Enterprise because of the previous experiences I'd had with other Star Trek franchises...they p**s you off then get you hooked!

Fortunately ST has enough clout to survive a bad ratings season. It was a great shame that 'Firefly' didn't have similar clout because when that was good it was bloody excellent!

Buck Rogers better than Trek??? I laughed so hard i borrowed Bill hatners corset. After season 2 buck rogers on the Searcher, I'd put the series on hold in deep freeze until 2476 :thumbsup:

Both the Daxes were nice, but my ultimate preference was Ezri, cos she had bigger boobs, and nicer eyes...

Urm, I've met Nicole DeBoer, and I'm fairly certain she doesn't have bigger boobs than Terry. LOL

THe finale of ENT was quite a surprise (it was a decent ep for a change ;)) until we got to the very last scene.. and I was thinking "what the heck!?!!" :loopy: berman and braga need to leave quickly.

(Although that Nazi did look a bit Reman..)

But I still think we should see a return to a Star Trek set in the "present" ST timeline as opposed to being in the past. Or even a future one with Andrews and the ENT-J

Actually, a series with Riker and Troi on the Titan would be great. They could get Wesley Crusher back as Chief Engineer (well he was back in uniform for the wedding in Nemesis). :D

Have to say that DS9 was my favourite, though some of the more Gothic Voyager episodes gave it a run for the money.

Enterprise was always going to be a toughie to write and develop. After all, we sort of know that, temporal incursions permitting, things pan out OK for Kirk to go boldly....

But, popping up Nazis does kind of remind me of Raymond Chandler's dictum when he got in to a mess with one of his circuitous plots for The Maltese Falcon, et al. His idea was to have two blokes run in with guns and shoot soemone.....

Has anyone read the series of Star Trek novels called "Star Trek - New Frontier" about a ship called Excalibur, captained by Mackenzie Calhoun?

I've briefly read a couple of the books and think the stories in them would make a great TV series.

Yeah I've read some of them and I positively hated them. Peter David's writing has really gone downhill, IMO. The characters are like comic book superheroes, and I just can't take them seriously.

Then when he has Picard enthusing over Calhoun as the greatest Starfleet officer he's ever met, I had to refrain from vomiting. :D

Not my cup of tea I'm afraid.

The best books out at the moment have been the DS9 Relaunch ones. They pick up where the series left off.

It's out in May. Looking at the Trekkie forums it is being embraced pretty well (I personally think all the sad-act whiners gave up after their feet-stomping exercises when Enterprise ran on TV), with a lot of hope for the film, albeit with some trepidation. Every old-school Trekkie wants this film to be good, as they want it to springboard a new Trek franchsie and bing it back.

I have my doubts about it - the writers (Orci and Kurtzman) are shocking, having delivered such 'masterpieces' as episodes of Alias, the terribly scripted Transformers film, and being responsible for the abomination of TV that is Fringe. JJ Abrams is a bit hit or miss, but I hope for this to hit. The latest trailer for it looks ace, and all the cast look their part (ever Simon Pegg as Scotty, who was a bizarre casting choice that seems to work).

Anyway, Enterprise was good towards the end, when Manny Coto took over creative duties. Sadly it was already marked for cancellation by then so never got chance to shine as it should had Brannon Braga not killed the Trek-verse!
