Stuck in work on a beautiful day I thought I would see what weather we had to look forward to this weekend.

Shef is, however, graced with its own uniquely unpredictable microclimate. Hills, hills and trees add subtle layers of complexity that remove all possibility of making a remotely accurate prediction, no matter how much is known, no matter how big the array of computers doing hard sums. It's possible elsewhere, of course. But in Shef, even if it looks like they might have got it right, it's nothing but pure coincidence. Fact: one time, I saw the BBC news and it showed a cloud above Shef for the current weather. No - no cloud. Not a single one. It was sunny all day (it was sunny most of the day last Saturday as well, despite everyone saying that a huge storm was definitely coming). Proof positive that no-one, not even BBC Sheffield, at the BBC has ever been to Sheffield. If there is a weather station in Shef, it's either fashioned out of bubble-wrap and pipe cleaners, or nobody knows how to use it.

So, it might be sunny at the weekend. That's what I was trying to say.

Do you know with me & my hubby being pensioners,we went to Skegness on Wednesday and was marvellous weather.Dead Hot.Could park the car, could find a place in the cafe, and a space on the seafront.Just knew it was going to be like this this week-end.Feel so sorry for those who work. Can remember looking out of the window, when nurse training,at week-end,lovely and sunny, and had to work nights. No dancing, no boyfriend, no fun.Just know how you feel.
