Having spoken to a few of the entrants their seems to be some speculation that it was a fix (surprise surprise) so there may be police involvement for fraud.

Don't know much more after that but that's what I heard anyway.

If it's anything to do with Style then it doesn't surprise me. Do they still have something to do with it? A friend of mine should have won a few years ago. They had strict rules, one of them was no jeans and you were supposed to have got voted by star readers or something to get in to the final. Anyway, she told me, girl, very cozy with Style proprietor, comes in at last minute and guess what? Wins of course. And guess what she was wearing? Jeans of course. MMMMMM

I hope you are right ...

1) Why should all the entrants pay £20 to start off with if the 'crown' is going to be taken by someone who was not there in the initial heats?

2) What happens to all the sponsorship money raised?

3) Will those who smelt a rat and backed out before putting up any sponsorship money be refunded the £20 that that was initially paid?

It's got scam written all over it IMO - refunds all round would be a good move before it gets serious I would think!

hiya every1, i was a contestant in miss shefffield and on the night of the semi final i decided to quit due to the fact tht it was obvious it was fixed, a girl entered on the night of the semi final paying £600 supposedly sponsership money and was automatically put through to the final with out even one text vote. then 3 girls who was knocked out by the judges was put back in by the organizer,noelle, for her own reasons unknown to any1 else. all the companies who donated sponsership money was frauded out of that money.

Brilliant - about time someone with some clout exposed the scam for what it is ... now, about those refunds for all involved?

Is it just me or should a 'Miss Sheffield' contest be made of of applicants from Sheffield, and most certainly not won by someone that's tried to win a similar competition in no less than four other city's?

Does this mean that as this is a heat for the 'Miss England' contest, should it be allowed to go ahead we could end up with an Australian national winning the title of Miss England? Something doesn't add up!

well our promo company got roped into doing the after party. what a load of sh*t it was all fixed from day one... we manage to pull out but it did our brand alot of damage...
if cops want a statement give them our number 0796 33 555 21

so tell us what it is a fix a scam or what any picys let us judge but surly if its a fix then refunds should go out
