Hiya, I moved up here only 7 months ago, and I've only just got round to thinking about getting a gp sorted out. Does anyone know a good doctor in Sheffield, any surgeries I should avoid or doctors that you aren't impressed with, and can anyone recommend a great one with space on their list?
Im living just off Hunters Bar, so close to there would be the best?
Cheers

Porter Brook medical centre is situated just by the corner of Cemetery Road and Summerfield Street, by The Vine pub. It is a group practice with an excellent reputation. I see Dr Keel who is the best GP I've ever had. I know other people feel the same about the place, and it has a good rep also 'within' the health service. I believe you are within the catchment area. Also - are you a Hallam Uni student by any chance? Porterbrook is actually the same practice as the Hallam student health service, but with a surgery that's open to the local community too. If you were a Hallam student, you'd have no problems about registering. If not, I don't know if they have space on their list at the mo but it's worth a try. I can't remember if I'm allowed to broadcast their telephone number on the forum. If you PM me I can tell you more about it. :)
