I'm sure the NTA would point out that they dont do free parties any more - just invite only private ones...

Quite right about the NTA but most other people post about their free parties on the nta forums

Since the laws changed - I think most rigs do invite only private parties - especially due to the large amount of police survelience on the internet etc...

I've not done one since last july so i'm a bit behind with the law. I think I need to have a couple of pints with a couple of the nta

hi gordie
wasn't a criticism at all, i always associate n.t.a with hard dance, acid techno nrg and the like (i heard pendulum played at the last party and thats drum and bass. techno is a slightly different type of music. all 4x4 beat but the style and roots are all slightly different.

yes i know i sound like a trainspotter.

actually techno covers all areas really, there's so many different varieties, from acid techno, to detroit techno, to schranz, etc, etc, etc.
also, there's loads of techno tracks out there that aren't 4x4

the drum and bass track was Si and he got a right telling off for it as well.

and we play mainly acid techno (theres a clue there) because hard dance is well, not hard.

as for the roots of techno lets start with Kraftwerk, Juan Atkins and a place called Detroit.

Actually I'm gunna stop there or this will end up as a 40 page essay:D
