For anyone who has Sky or cable, have you ever noticed that on one of the music channels - might be VH1, David seems to be on it a lot, giving people a countdown of his top ten love ballads or something - why? Do people really want to know????? Sorry for the peeps that thinks he's a bit of alright!

David Hasselhoff rings up his agent and says " I want a change of image, something cool so I wanna be known as 'the Hoff' from now on."

His agent replies "ok then David 'the Hoff' it is.... no hassel mate."

He is supposed to be a mega star in Germany though..... can't stand him meself.

Too be honest the overall consensus this thread has of him is no shock to me. Soceity has plenty to envy with his good looks, Excellence in acting, excellence in music and his humanitarian efforts in the fall of the Berlin Wall.

However, I can only give you the link to this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005Q8UG/026-7982104-4277206

and read some of the reviews.

I don't think he is anything special. But on the other hand my boyfriend thinks he is great, one of our friends bought him a signed 'Hoff' picture in a frame for Christmas, and he loves it, it has pride of place next to the computer. Its all a bit worrying if you ask me!

Hasselhoff's greatest crime is that wretched permanent, smug grin. It would be splendid to watch him being dragged naked and shrieking through a huge Mojave Desert cactus. Then again, I don't like violence.

In their respective lifetimes, Sinatra was dismissed as a mobster, Winston Churchill a womanising drunk and Elvis a child molester.

When Hasselhoff dies you will all congratulate his contribution to humanity sadly when it is too late.

In response to your query Bob...I own his greatest hits album, he is striking a handsome pose on the wallpaper of my nokia and I recently acquired a pair of Hoff Pants with his face on the front and the rear proudly stating "ITS ALL GOING HOFF". :D :D

Don't know about his music but the guy is an absolute legend.

He cemented his place as a top guy when i saw pics of him wearing a t-shirt that read: " Don't hassle the hoff "

What a guy, balls of steel and supremely confident. Go on son:thumbsup:

In the words of another legend Avid merrion " i fookin love him, he make me do a sex **** "

I have a deep and profound respect for Mr David Hassellhoff and take your lampoonery of the great man as a personal affront. Allow me, if I may, to explain.

Two years ago I was holidaying in Malibu with my pet Falcon, Kez (I know, I know, but Fal would have sounded quite wack... and kinda like a curry, too. Mmm.. Curry!). Anyway... Kez and I were enjoying a riveting, and increasingly competetive game of frisbee on Malibu beach when some decidedly ominous storm clouds began to gather ahead. "Lo!" said I "Beware the impending storm of doom my feathered friend", to Kez like. But alas, my warning had come too late. Before I could say Michael Knight a bolt of lightening had felled my avian ally and he was headed to the rough seas and apparent oblivion. Just then my attention was caught by what I could only describe as an intense orangeness. It was The Hoff and my prayers had been answered! For their is indeed a God and he is Orange and Mulleted in his omnipotence. Quick as a flash the Hoffmeister launched his fantastic float seaward and made for the point where Kez had submerged. I could not believe my luck when Hoff emerged seconds later clutching my precious frisbee and proceeded to return it to me with such aplomb as I have never seen before or since. With that he was gone and we all lived happily ever after. Except Kez who I expect died. Still at least he won't be getting flu now.

He's a bit before my time - but what really did make me think he's a bit gaa gaa was him singing to the germans when they knocked that wall down or something (was it the germans?) and his jacket lit up!

Thou must not diss the hairy-chested brilliance that is the Hoff!

Most watched actor world wide, the epitome of cool and the singer who reunited Germany... all in one person!

And you really haven't lived until you've watched 'Hooked on a Feeling' or sung along to 'Crazy for you'.

Nuff said. :P

My son has just bought me the Hoffs autobiography and i thought id put a quote up for sufc Tom ."This book is about my successes and my failures,my strengths and my weakness. And, above all,it is about the hope contained in the Knight Rider slogan:"One man can make a difference".Kind of sums up the strength of the man.:D:D
