My mum is coming to visit soon for her hen night so will be going out in the evening as is traditional but she has always wanted to have a posh traditional afternoon tea so thought we could do this in the afternoon. Can anyone recommend a place that does this?

Not too sure about this, you could try Artisan on Sandygate Rd.. they seem to be open for coffee and cakes

543 on Eccy Rd may be an option too..

Maybe try one of the hotels - the new one in town may do it... Macdonald St Paul's on Surrey St

Isn't there one in Botanical Gardens, just before you walk in. I'm sure there's one there that might be ok for yah.

There's a proper tea shop by the Cathedral. I'm sure that its called something like Betty's and that does your tea and scones kind of fare. Its on Charter Row next to the Christian bookshop.
