Hello.

Does anyone know if there are any pubs in town/west street, that have a nice beer garden and do nice food? The beer garden is more important as we can eat later on. We're wanting somewhere with a bit of life but also quite relaxed, think I might have to go abroad!

Thanks
Zip.

Not sure if it is open through the day but seen as they serve food i presume they do then S1 on west street is nice. We met up there last night and sat on the back.

If you don't mind walking a little bit out of town down to Kelham Island area, the Fat Cat and Kelham Island Tavern both have nice beer gardens, and the Riverside bar has a terrace overlooking the river don.

In the city centre the Rutland Arms, S1, Walkabout, Museum, All Bar One, BRB, Red Deer, Wetherspoons, Empire Bar have outdoor drinking areas.

What about the Washington? Actually, it wouldn't be too far to walk to Dulo (which is where I'd rather be right now!)

[edit:] not sure if The Washington does food though. Get down Dulos...

[Jisco music re-edit:] I am, in fact, an idiot for ever adding a superfluous 's' to the end of the pub title. It is Dulo's, of course, but the pub is Dulo.

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone. Where is Dulos, i've never heard of it. I think we'll probably go S1, because its easy to get to, has a beer garden, and serves food.
Lets hope the weather stays nice all weekend!

Thanks,
Zip.

Dulo's (read Dulo) is what used to be the Beer Engine at the bottom of Cemetery Rd. Probably one of the best pubs ever in the universe. Lots of cool things going on, excellent food (one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever had), wicked beer garden.

Yeah! BRB's!!!

Chiiled out, top food (they've just updated the menu), they've got Kirin on draught and they have an oh so cheeky beer garden out back.

 BRB
