Where does Lower Walkley end and Upper Walkley/Walkley begin? Roughly?

I'm going to view a room in a house just off South Road tomorrow and have been told to avoid renting in Lower Walkley by my current housemate. She's lived in Sheffield for 8 years so I trust that she has her reasons for saying that. (And I'm a young wimpy female student :-p so I want to keep to student areas)

Lower Walkley is the posh way of saying Upperthorpe. It starts around Blake Street, and it's JUST AS GOOD AS NORMAL WALKLEY!!!!

Walkley and Upperthorpe are totally separate areas.

Walkley's quite a large area, IMO - whereas Upperthorpe is that hill that the bus goes up, when I visit the relative.

I would think walkley starts where the top of Blake St is. And I allways thought that lower walkley was the bit near walkley lane heading towards hillsbourgh. A lot of people refer to the Daniel hill area as lower walkley but it is infact upperthorpe

Lower Walkley is down the bottom end of Walkley Lane which runs from the traffic lights at the end of South Road down to Hillsborough. It definitely IS NOT anywhere near Upperthorpe.
