Hi,

My dad is 40 next month towards the end of june and we are looking to throw him a party.

he is a lifelong blade but we are not willing to pay £375 to have it there and then we thought of the Stars/Mayfair suites on queens road but this is £300 around and to be honest its a bit much just for a room.

has anyone got any ideas i live in S14 so need something quiet close by or town area ish.

Thanks

I have recommended this venue - and used it ourselves - before, even though it isn't on your doorstep. The Jubilee Room at Crookes WMC, Mulehouse Road. You provide your own music and food but I think it would cost less than £100. There was a small bar in the room but you can use the main one. If no better suggestion, ask them for details.

It's not quite town, but near to town if any good http://www.crookesmoor.org.uk/

I've never used it so can't tell you what it is like.

Good place that i went is woodburn road. In keeping with the footy theme.

It's bang next to the tram lines, and if the bar total for the night is more than £200 then the room hire is free. Very nice room too.
