I have never been tempted to go in because it looks like a branch of the local church, where you go to have christianity pushed down your throat, as the tables and walls are covered in christian propoganda.

Er, that's maybe because it's a Christian Cafe! I went a fair bit when I was much younger (my parents knew the people who ran it back then). It's quite a nice place, apparently... although a lot of the clientele I see in there are a bit more... mature than I am!

I thought it was a charity shop, that sold tea for some reason.

Don't panic it's a fairly non-threatening place and I don't know any people who have been in there and got bible bashed. It is run by christian volunteers who attend plenty of the local churches.
The prices are reasonable, the coffee is nice and there is even a little corner with kiddies toys to keep the little monsters happy.
I'd say the average age in there is maybe slightly on the more mature side but then that's good as you don't get disturbed by mobile phones going off all the time.

Its a lovely friendly place , if people ask about what the staff belive in they will tell you, bible bashing is off the menu!! There are alot of younger staff on a saturday, I think its a great place to go , all my kids have fond memories of going into open house for toasted teacakes and diet coke lol:hihi:
They alos remember the first manager Ted Meers who was a good man
