Being a girl I smoke cigars, big smackers, the bigger and fatter the better. Trouble is, and like cigarettes, cigars are getting bad press. For what is a natural and really nice shaped thing to have in my gob I'm kind of wondering.

You can get proper Havana cigars at FG Thomas on Surrey Street, and they're fab.

They give you mouth cancer, mind.

I dont smoke cigars i am a gr8 believer they are real bad for you then again so is smoking and i do that

They're worse than cigarettes health-wise.

There's not many females who smoke cigars...

I used to smoke cigars when I was younger and boy did I used to get funny looks. My mum also smoked a clay pipe.

Very bad for you but soooo enjoyable. I preferred the flavour of larger ones but couldn't smoke a whole one in one sitting. A King Ted might last me all day.

My husband smokes cigars. When we bought our house he told the mortgage lender (Nationwide) he smoked cigars and when all the paper work came through for insurances ect it had him down as a non smoker. I contacted them to get it changed to smoker and they said because he smokes cigars they don't consider them high risk and thats why they put non smoker. They have sent me conformation of this policy in writing.

Both are killers, and it is not a quick death, it is slow painfull and breathless,
given it up, would not touch tobacco with a bargepole.

Cigars are OK as long as you don't smoke them around non-smokers. Much the same as all smoking really.

er, I think you've misunderstood the meaning of the expression "little Hitler" somewhat :)

I used to smoke cigars. I loved them. I woudn't go back to them, though.

These days my only vice is the one on the bench in my garden shed.

I like the odd cigar now and then, chills me out after a long day and helps me to relax and unwind. Yes I know the health risk but sod it, its my life.

i might start smoking cigars to make me look more sophisticated

I have never smoked so I don't know what their like but I do think those huge thick cigars can provide people with an image.

When smoking in public was banned recently in Ireland the owner of a cigar club thought he should be exempt from the ban. I have to say I thought he had a point. The whole point of a cigar club is that it is a specific place where people can go to smoke in the company of like-minded people. The only people who would join such a club are those who like to smoke rather than the general public at large.

This seems to me, a non-smoker, a good idea. It is a place where smokers can gather to enjoy their smoking in peace and not trouble non-smokers at the same time.

What do other people think?

They stink and they make the people that smoke them stink...YUK!!!

i used to smoke cigars, really chilled me out, nice to puff on one all day long. not anymore though, very very rarely smoke cigs (only when drunk usually but thats cut down a fair bit) but did used to smoke both.

I'm sure there must be something to put in your gob (as you put it) which will give non-smokers some pleasure instead of annoyence. Have a think.
