View Full Version : 18th Birthday ideas - Where to go in Sheffield? ianl 07-05-2004, 21:18 my lad is 18 on fri wk2daY HES A BIT OF A SKATE BOARDERwhere do we take him apart from casbar chalicefc3 08-05-2004, 06:38 well im guessing that you arent looking for a comedy answer like the skate parks in either Devonshire Green/Fir Valley. In your scenario - may i suggest that you start the night up at Valley Centertainment, bowling/cinema - meal at one of the several restaurants. Then there are several points in centertainment where you can start off on the drinks. The jump on a tram into town - get off at City Hall tram stop. Walk onto division street from behind the City Hall. There you will find some accomodating bars, especially The Forum and Lloyds. If its clubs he'll be after, the likes of Corporation and Leadmill would probably be most suited to him - lots of relaxed people with no lifestyle hang up like certain other unnamed clubs!!! If he's really diversive and wants to avoid the standard ''flatpack'' bars, try hunting down a pub called the Rainbow and Dove. Its in the centre, just cant remember how to get to it. Whatever you organise, he'll appreciate it so dont panic!!! Hope he has a really good birthday. Let us know how it got on. slh73 08-05-2004, 08:47 Originally posted by chalicefc3 If he's really diversive and wants to avoid the standard ''flatpack'' bars, try hunting down a pub called the Rainbow and Dove. You might also want to try the Sportsman (near Cole Brothers) and the Classic Rock Bar (bottom of Ecclesall Road, used to be the Jolly Buffer). m0nkey 11-05-2004, 16:17 Pubs: The Porter Cottage & Lescar - Sharrow Forum, Frog & Parrot, Devonshire Cat etc. Clubs: Leadmill |
