Its not till the end of May - costs £5 to get in then you have to pay again for the rides and overpriced food. There are usually some free things once you get in like horse jumping to watch or boxing demo and a Hallam FM stage and one year they had a classic car display with 2, thats 2, cars.

There are complaints every year about the price but it's always mega-popular.

According to the posters I have seen dotted around Sheffield, it appears not to be, they all state the 28th and 29th of May, dunno why, I also would have thought it would have been over the weekend, but apparently not.

Hallam FM said yesterday that Duncan James (ex-Blue) will be performing this year. I don't know what day he's doing, there is a slight possibilty he could do both days as one of the bands last year did both. They also said they'd be announcing more people over the next week.

I hope Matt Willis does do it - and I think there's a good chance he will...

I was thinking that Lee is the type of person who would do it too, but I doubt they'll get 2 Blue members there! Lee AND Westlife - I'm jealous ;)

Matt's stuff is definitely better than the other two's... Can't wait for his album.

Mayfest is this weekend - again it's £5 plus costs of rides etc which I think is ridiculous considering that it's in a local park which we pay all year round for and the 'celebrities' are a load of z-listers and has beens. I always thought it was a charity event but apparantly not.

Well according to the programme the 'acts' in the central arena total 5 and are repeated in the afternoon, or are you referring to hallam stage performances?
Whats there sazk23? we want to know :)

There are a few acts that ive never heard of, infact there's only 2acts i actually knew. Blazin squad was there yesterday (no cute Kenzie tho).

I cant remember the line up for 2day. Im not into that sorta music(Indie/Bands etc) so it didnt interest me, but there was a good atmosphere and it was a good day all in all. Got quite drunk.

Loadsa Stalls selling things, Clinton Woods were there yesterday, loadsa rides.

Get yourself down there, you can take your own alcohol in, just not glass bottles. If u do take glass bottles in, dont be seen by the security people
