Did anyone see the American girl who advertised on the net for people to send her a dollar? Apparently it took her 12 weeks to raise the $20,000 dollars she required to pay her debts off. She has now wrote a book about it and will no doubt make further money.

What do you think about this? Would you ever consider sending money to someone on the net?

if she didn't lie about why she wanted the money, I can't see anything wrong with it. Although I wouldnt send any money!

it's happened several times since then.

a girl who wanted a boob job raised $14000 and got them done.

and several more which I ignored as the idea got old. The register reported on them if you can be bothered to look the articles up.
