for a start do they not realise that Unix and similar operating systems (like minux that linux was designed to be like) existed long before Mr Gates brought along DOS and Windows...

ah well... crazy people, Microsoft will dominate the market for the rest of this decade anyways, Linux isn't taking the market away from Microsoft quick enough to get a 50% market share in the desktop arena for quite a long time... but its still a good alternative unless your a gamer or have Microsoft specific work to do... like develop for windows...

itll never take over from windows it IS too user unfriendly
im reasonably computer literate, can do most things on a windows pc, fix em etc, computings a joy
but ive tried linu for about 2 years and got absolutely nowhere, ive not managed to install a single thing.
it also removes all the fun out of using computers as its too complicated to use
