Whats your favourite cop/police shows?

Mine are/was

1) The Shield
2) Hill Street Blues
3) The Sweeney
4) NYPD Blue
5) Police Squad (in colour)

Nothing beats Columbo. On Chanel 5 at the mo.

My favourite ever cop show was TJ Hooker, pure class.

Law and Order, definately.

Out of the ones on your list I would pick Hill Street Blues. I really liked it and thought it was amusing how everytime the guy told his officers "Be careful out there".

Ooohhh nobody's mentioned Dempsey and Makepeace yet; that show was fab. Does anyone remember the episode where that man had his hand fried in a deep fat frier? :o I was about 9 when I saw that, and still remember it all these years later!

Watching that on a Sunday night was like the highlight of my weekend back when it was on in the 80s.

You see weekend TV was actually good in those days, unlike now with the possible exception of Doctor Who but even that's not as good as the originals.

Dont know if you could really call this a cop show, but Ive always had a soft spot for Quincy MD.

You always knew you were in luck and had a day off work or from studying if you ever managed to get to watch Quincy

Columbo - is the best ever! HMV currently have dvd first series! Must go and buy!

BTW does anyone know the name of Columbo's dog - and yes he did have a dog!
