Does anyone remember the youth club that used to be at the back of Ellesmere Road School? I used to go there from about 1960 to 1963

I didn't know it went back that far. I went there in the late seventies to early eighties and thought it was brill it kept me off the streets

I went there in the late seventies to early eighties and thought it was brill it kept me off the streets Hi Double, I am going to surprise you I used to go their in the early 40 ties, a lady was in charge and cant think of her name, but it had a foreign accent , she was a nice person, can any one remember her? I didn't realise it went back as far as the forties. In the early sixties it was really humming. It was open Monday, Tuesday and Friday I think,and had heaps of members, mostly from the area although myself and a number of others came from Grimesthorpe.I can't remember the people that ran it except for a Mr. Arbour.
