It were inevitable that the data was going to be used. why have it if you aint going to use it.

I will seriously consider moving elsewhere if ID cards come in. Other countries do have them, but they aren't as intrusive as the UK ones will be.

No one really minds the card, as it is just, well, a card. You can always pop it in the microwave if you don't trust the electronic wizardry in it that tracks your every movement.

But this is going to be the Govt IT fiasco to end all fiascos! How long will it take to put 65 million people on the saqme computer system with no errors?
