Susie slh73 05-05-2004, 19:49 Sounds like it probably is. So whats the "PC" word for racism when it goes the other way? Sidla 05-05-2004, 21:11 Whiteophobia? Susie No I think this is different I would take negrophobia to mean an irrational fear of people with darkly pigmented skin (to be specific). Whereas "racism" is commonly held to mean prejudice or discrimination based on the belief that race is the primary factor determining human traits and abilities. Its true that a negrophobe is likely to be a racist as a result of their pathological affliction, but a racist is not necessarily a negrophobe. dinp 06-05-2004, 03:09 I suppose the North and South of this country could be subject to having 'aphobia' attached to them, going by some of the comments on this forum :D |
