It's in there according to Ebay, comes up as a recommendation before submitting listing, you can even click on the recommendation link and it takes you to "payment options" page.
But where is the option to tick "Require immediate payment from buyers"
We can't see it Anywhere
Draggletail and Longshanks.
maybe you need to have a linked paypal account?

We have a Paypal account with the "buyer accepts paypal" box ticked.
Is that what you mean by a linked Paypal account, LL200?

You can do it somehow (sorry I'm not really too sure quite how), but...
people don't have to pay immediately anyway, (I presume you are doing this on buy it now items), and once they have committed to buy the item, there is nothing to stop them closing the window or changing to a different website and completing payment later!
The best thing to do is to specify in your item decription and/or payment instructions exactly what buyers should do, make it clear that you will not be prepared to wait for payments.
Good luck!
i dunno mate... i just seemed to remember you can link one to the other.
however, i suspect your problem is that you need to enter a "buy it now" price on the details page in order to get the "require immediate payment" option on the payment page.
in no way related to this thread, but after 6 months i have now got my ebay account back.
yippee, it was hijacked in November & just today i have manged to get through the security & regain control.i think it helps now the uk have their own help desk thingy.

Yep, youv'e got it. You do need to enter a "buy it now" price. Thanks!
discoheaven, I think I read that the item remains open for sale until the payment is made.
I must admit I don't see how an item can remain open for sale once the listing has ended because it has been sold.....

No I dont see how either, they should make these things clearer!
I'm sure that I've clicked to buy-it now on items before, then waited to pay til later. They still come up in my ebay as items that I have won, and that I need to pay for them.
You can't make the buyer "Pay Immediately" when you are on an auction, because the buyer might not be at the computer as soon as they win.
You can however have this with a "Buy it now"
You can make it so that the buyer MUST have a paypal account, and from experience i have found that people with paypal pay quicker thank anyone else, even if they do take a swag bag full of your money in fees.
