Not long I hope. There was one burnt out near me on Friday night and by Saturday lunchtime it had been taken away.

The police will inform the owner, and it'll be towed away fairly fast, after it's cooled down. :)

I wouldn't worry about it not being towed/taken away. As the price of scrap metal is very high at the moment and if the officials don't move it, the unofficials will!

funny u should say that, there is a rather "unofficial" vehicle thats just pulled up on the field to try and tow it away, the only problem is that they themselves have got stuck in the boggy mess!! 4 guys try to un-wedge a tow vehicle...and 1 of them has just fallen flat on his face in the mud, i tried not to laugh to loud but failed miserably, so did a dozen kids playing football on the field!:hihi: wonder how long before a 3rd vehicle comes along to try and steal the glory.....

just as a final update on this, the pick-up truck got stuck with the car on the back, so after another hour of frantic phonecalls the guys then called in reinforcements, a huge tractor!! and yep u guessed it...that got stuck as well!! all good and well except when a tractor gets stuck it does one thing....destroy whatevers beneath it, the field now looks like its just played host to a re-make of the battle of waterloo or summat...poor little field:mad: , overall i reckon it was nearly 4 hours of wheel churning , muck throwing, field recking activity before they finally got off the mud and out of sight, so instead of a burnt out car we have a 50% destroyed field:rolleyes:

why do scum do this ? I went out to my car this morning and someone had had a go at getting into my car for the second time in the last 4 months first time they smashed the window, and last night they tried to force the lock and made a mess of the keyhole. then they had a screwdriver or something and tried to prize the whole lock out .they didnt manage to get in but had a dammned good try.they must have been disturbed. these thugs obviously go out armed to do these jobs,no normal person carries a screwdriver or whatever it was they had do they.

Sound like amatures/crack heads that was doing your car maggie. Usually smash and grab jobs aint they. If they were trying to pop your lock off then they wanted to nick ya car, so i would employ extra security on your car as they see it as a target.

Personally id wait up and flipping go old school on them.....retards
