Id like an avatar,but what is a good site to get one from ?Everyone seems to give different advice about this.

you don't need an avator site, you can use any picture you want as an avator. The picture will need re-sizing as this forum only accepts avators 50 by 50 resolution. Download a picture sizer like irfanview.com and re-size any picture you want. If you have a problem PM me and I'll be happy to do it for you:thumbsup:

As you can use any picture you can find (as long as its the right size - easy to do) why not try using google image search. Millions of potential avatars waiting to be plucked from the net - you could even do a Dave Gorman & find a googlewhack avatar!

Resizing can be done in most image programs (if you dont have one why not get "the gimp" its a free image editing program that is nearly as powerful as Photoshop), some sites will even automatically resize the image for you.

We have quite a few threads on Avatars, I did ask MODS to merge ages ago, but it didnt happen, anyway scroll down to my post and you see loads of therads with help and useful sites...... have fun
