Song about the forum, to the tune of "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette:

Logged out, when you want to be logged in.
Forgot your password, had to reset it again.
Up pops the PM box, trouble at mill?
Then you click to open, and its already full.

And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

It's like socialists, driving Mercedes Benz,
It's like arguing, then pretending to be friends.
It's the editing, when its already right.
And who would've thought it figures?

Mr Helicopter, wanted to fly away.
Got in his car, and bombed down Parkway.
Turned off at Catcliffe, and went up in his craft.
And as the blades broke down, he came down twice as fast.

And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

It's like socialists, driving Mercedes Benz,
It's like arguing, then pretending to be friends.
It's the editing, when its already right.
And who would've thought it figures?

Lost connection, when you press submit
Then you click go back, and its all gone, "sh*t"!
It's browsing 10,000 pages, for the post listed last.
It's using your mobile, then opposing the mast.

And isn't it ironic, don't you think?
A little too ironic? Yeah I really do think..

It's like socialists, driving Mercedes Benz,
It's like arguing, then pretending to be friends.
It's the editing, when its already right.
And who would've thought it figures?

And your point is?

(BTW, you seem to have a lot of technical trouble for a supposed techie student)

Well you make it so hard to tell when you're not being deadly serious!

Actually... I thought it was quite creative. Was it all your own work?

Sad as it may seem, yes, although Alanis deserves a mention ;)

Not a bad effort though.

By the way, I've got some really boring admin jobs if you have any more time to kill...

Not envious at all, just observing irony/ hypocrisy.

Where's the hypocrisy? You obviously are far more attuned to it than most.

What's the pay like?

Tony

I would look for at least 50% more than I get at the moment. ;)

Even if it was 1000% more, it would still be naff all.

I am, of course, hugely honoured that, of the 4,534 members registered on the Forum, I am the only one to get a specific name check. At last, I have made my mark on the world!!

:) :D

At least this version of the record contains genuine irony, unlike the original... good work!

I guess you both need to start looking for a better ISP... ;)

Yeah, and then a year or so after it was released Miss Morrisette says "the irony of the song is that none of the things in it were ironic!"

Yeah, right.

You beat me too it!!! Alanis's song wasn't ironic, and I'm afraid T020, you song about irony isn't ironic, therefore making it ironic! But damn good effort all the same. .

Alanis e.g. "It's like rain on you wedding day"
That's sod's law. Irony would be rain on your wedding day when you are a weather reporter!
