Think that's run at Norton - very popular course, won't start again til September tho. You'll also need to do Level 1 first. Look around for an informal weekly class over the summer to prepare a bit. The city's fine Universities both run language courses open to anyone.

I learnt with http://www.linkwordlanguages.com and it is superb. Gives you an excellent grounding without getting too bogged down straight away in verbs and everything.

I've also been thinking about learning Spanish and I've just had a look at that website. I can already say that "El burro es malo" which means "The donkey is bad"! Looks like a quick way to learn (although I don't know how often I'd want to say "The donkey is bad" in Spanish!).

That reminds me of watching an old episode of 'Porridge' where Richard Beckinsale tells Ronnie Barker he's educated and once studied Spanish. He quotes "No tiene una vacca perro tengo un burro!" as far as he got.

You 'ant gorra cow but av gotta donkey!
