Hi, I have just moved into a new apartment which has a Creda Supaslim Combi TSR24CW heater in the lounge. It has input and output knobs to control the charging up overnight and the heat release. Despite it being charged up overnight for at least 2 weeks, whenever you go to release the heat it only comes out of the separate heater at the bottom (which uses normal priced electricity) and not the main radiator part. IS this because
a) The input knob isn't working (ie, it's not taking anything in and heating it over night)
b) It isn't cold enough for it to be used (there's no visible thermostat on this thing)
c) None of the above?
Any help would be much appreciated! All the others are fine as they are timer controlled ones and not the same style. Thanks :)
anybody know anything about them at all?? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_3_3.gif' border=0></a>
babygem try charging at maximum charge. Failing that are you sure that the off peak supply is switched on or connected?
Is this a brand new appartment? If it is why don't you go back to the builder and ask him to send the electrician back out?
Hi
You mentioned that you copuldnt see the thermostat on it - according to the following page, it has a thermostat that regulates the temperature and blows the air out using a fan

could well be that the thermostat needs adjusting so it gets on with the job after heating up and blows the air out and warms your room to the desired temperature. Suggest you find the thermostat :P

"The Creda Supaslim Combi heater is effectively two heaters in one, combining economic, efficient storage heating using low-cost tariff electricity with an independently thermostat-controlled Warmflow fan system for instant room heating. "
Hi - it is now fixed. The thermostat is an internal one and I didn't fancy undoing it and removing all the bricks etc! Got the electrician to come out and it was a fuse spurr or something that was broken and was not letting the input side of it come on. Now it chucks out tons of heat, a little too mcuh for this weather anyway! But it's sortyed so all is well :) Thanks for your comments everyone.
Claire, where do you live? If it's the same model try the switches where the power comes in at and check that they can be turned from on to off etc cos one of ours was broken.
