NOT!!!!

traffic was backed up right back past the leasure centre this morning. The cause? Morrisons 1 and only stupid entrance. Once past there it was clear along the whole of Pensistone road.

b4 anyone says anything I was on a push bike avoiding the dangerous lane swapping arseholes!!

:(

Alternatively the drivers could use the other entrance on Langsett Road but it does necessitate walking AN EXTRA 60 FEET and a trip on an escalator, I realise this represents an insurmountable problem for some drivers.

Drive thru Supermarkets! that’s the answer, I imagine their marketing departments are looking at it now:

“More reasons to emergency stop at Morrisons”

“Reason 68 – free windscreen clean at the 5 items or less checkout”

It is the most under-designed junction I've seen. It's quite dangerous too as you've pointed out. I fail to see how the planners ever thought it would suffice.

That it also serves B&Q and the maccy D's drive through was a stroke of pure genius.:loopy:

There has always been problems at this junction ever since the side entrance to B&Q was closed around 10 years ago. it also doesn't help that you can not access the top car park from the bottom one.

You are right to question the Junction as the lane for a Morrisons , B&Q and McDonalds is not long enough.

The lane's long enough, just needed to be two lanes and with some vaguely sensible layout in the bundles of room once "in" to the development. The same for exiting it - it's a complete nightmare where the solution is so obvious and so easily achievable it's mind-boggling - two lanes at every opportunity in each of the directions in/out.
