A few years ago I was on a 'see the star's homes' bus trip in Hollywood, and we went past Peter Falk's house. He was sat on his porch reading the paper with a fat cigar, in his dressing gown. Gave us a big cheery wave. The guide said he's always like that, very approachable and not hidden away behind massive gates like most of the people that live there.
