i dont want them to share my whole computer... just the internet.. oh and they are on a laptop if that makes any difference.

Do you have a router or a modem? If a router, is it wireless?

If you have a wireless router, all you need is a wireless network card fitted in the other pc. If the other pc is a laptop, it could be that already has wireless connectivity.

If you don't have a wireless router, it means running cables everywhere.

I went to argos and got the netgear one (about £70) but you get the flash drive free (worth about £30)

I found it easy to set up, but did have to get some help from a mate regarding the security side of things.

PC World have been advertising a less than half price Linksys wireless networking kit for about £45.00. I don't know whether that offer is still going, or whether it finished over Easter.

Btw, I just checked the BT website, and the BT Voyager 105 usb modem isn't compatible with 8Mb, and BT recommends upgrading to a router, here (http://www.faster.bt.com/faqs.asp#modem).

EDIT: Just found this (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2060174911.114538204 3@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdgaddhiekmjiicflgceggdhhmdgmj.0&page=GenericEditorial&genericeditorial=networking_homepage&category_oid=-24972&fm=14&sm=undefined&tm=undefined) re. PC World routers etc.
