I was wondering where SUFC will be in 5 years time? still struggleing for promotion? I think so long as the present chairmen are in power no mucgh needed money will be injected to give us that final push into the premiership.

In 5 years time, I guess the Blades will have been promoted to the premiership ... and relegated to Division 1 again. I can't see any huge multimillion pound investment what ever chairmen we have over the next few years. But I hope I'm wrong!

Isn't there a casino being built round the back? That'll make you a bit.

lol Dabouncer! We've all had a taste recently of what that stuborness can do. Leeds down and out. Thinking they'll come straight back up. Sorry I dont take the bait on that one. Leeds will be the next Wednesday. Only worse. Me being a blade. I have a feeling we'll be battling at the top of Div 1. How many times have we tried to get out of it! and failed :( I can only see us getting better once we start getting some money plouged into us from the casion. Talks of 8m per year. Sounds good but 8m doesnt last long when a club is buying big players and spending big amounts of money on wages. If only United were lucky and have some big money man buy them out!

No matter what happens to the Blades, chasing promotion or at the bottom of the division I will be there supporting them.

You see - that's what footy is all about - blind faith against all the odds!.

on this day in five years you will be in division one for a change with the blue & white wizards, and you will be waiting for a result on the vote for whether the recently formed merged sheffield city football club should wear blue & white or red & white!

it would be better for sheffield if there was one football team. Clearly neither team in sheffield is going anywhere at the moment, so merge and create a superclub!

i think theres more chance of being headbutted by the pope then wed and utd merging besides anything else the owls will eventually turn it round and be back where they belong in the prem lg utd as always will be clicking there heels in the first div they have a better team at the moment granted and we are crap but where as it got them they will always be second best support wise and stadium and facilitys ete its just fact

I don't believe the 2 teams will merge .. nor would I consider it a good thing if they did. I'm sure Sheffield is a big enough city to support 2 football teams... well, until Wednesday go into administration and close down!

If you think the protests against the Poll tax were bad...they would pale into insignificance compared to the civil unrest that would cause!!! o_O
