Your centre is in my area so perhaps I can pay you a visit sometime when I have time (which I have so little of these days).
What times is your centre open at?
Cheers
Farhad

Mark
chefkicker 15-04-2006, 15:52 Hi Mark
Everything is going really well. I have tried my hand at a couple of smaller promotions and will promote a show in sheffield sometime before the year is up. Hope the centre works well for you as you have worked hard at it and hence deserve the success. If I did promote the show, would you be interested in either putting fighters on or doing a Stick fighting Demo Bout for the crowd?
Stick Fighting in the boxing ring! Sounds great doesnt it? Raise the profile of the sport in general well both sports kickboxing and stick fighting. Were flexible with which kickboxing system will be showcased, standard Full contact rules or K-1. Both are hard sports.
Cheers
Farhad
funkyukgal 15-04-2006, 18:02 Jay thanks for getting back to me :) Ill definately be popping in!
Ill probably walk or take the bus to the centre from town (dont think theres tramlines near it?) I dont know that part of sheffield, are there any buses that goes near or past the centre?
Sounds good Farhad, will see how things are and if anyone is interested, in the demo, thanks for the good wishes on the centre.
Funkyukgal, not sure about the buses but i will find out for you, its something i need to sort out anyway.
Mark
chefkicker 16-04-2006, 17:41 No problems Mark, the ball is in your court just thought it would generate a bit of positive interest in what you do.
Very few promoters would make you that offer to be honest.

Mark
so is shorts and a rash guard or t-shirt suitable attire or do people tend to wear other stuff?
cheers
mark,
what's the difference between a jun fan/jkd class and a cfa class?
thanks
Hi Anvil,
Shorts T-shirt, etc are fine for the grappling class,
the C.F.A class is a Combined Fighting Arts class, which is a mix of everything that i teach and the only thing that i grade people in.
if you need any more details give me a shout see you soon

I have fond memories of the old Combined Fighting arts. An interesting blend of kickboxing, trapping and grappling as well as the stick work.
Focus mitts for your boxing combinations, Roundhouse kicks on the shields/thai pads (even though the JKD people have a strange habit of calling a roundhouse kick a hook kick :hihi: ) , grappling/trapping drills with the partner and all the angles of attack/defense with the stick.
Is that accurate Mark or has the content changed since then?
The same plus more:D :D
Good blend of all round arts and ranges.
MARK
Hi Mark, I am interested in starting the CFA classes but can you tell me a bit more about what it involves please? I have been doing some boxing training for a while but really want to do more kicking etc. I have been to a few taekwondo classes but whilst I can see it is a very accomplised art to learn, physically I dont think it's the right kind of style for me.
Cheers!
Mel
Hi Mel the best thing to do is come in and see if it is what you want,or even try a few classes, to be honest there is to much to type,:hihi: to tell you what is involed, i no its not the answer you wanted, sorry.
Hope I see you soon
all the best
Mark
Hi Mark, thanks for the reply. I reckon I will come along to a lesson and give it a go! While we're on the subject, are there any plans to teach CFA on any other days?
Thanks again!
Mel

I'm planning to come and have a look at your JKD class and not sure of that end of town, directions would be useful if anyone can help.
