Try eating wholefoods rather than processed/sugary foods ie fresh fruit, vegetables, and pasta, rice, grains and pulses, wholegrain bread as well as a good slab of your favourite protein. Don't wait until you're starving hungry to eat, eat at regular times. If that doesn't satisfy you for more than half an hour - see the doc. Boring but effective.

Drink lots of water, it's supposed to stop you feeling hungry. Doesn't work for me BTW.

(just noticed you've tried that, sorry)

You’ve not mentioned exactly what you are eating. For example, if it’s Chinese, Indian, KFC or McDonalds they’re the kind of foods that your stomach forgets it’s had within about 20 minutes. Try something substantial like home cooking. Maybe a big breakfast like bacon (3 rashers) eggs (2) fried baked beans, a couple of decent sausages and a lamb chop on a bed of fried bread. Add two rounds of thick bread with butter and a pint pot of tea.

If you feel hungry after that, you should see your doctor.

PS: Don’t forget to smother the breakfast in tomato or brown sauce, or alternatively Henderson’s Relish.

Are you worried about your weight? Otherwise why not keep eating?

Apparently starting the day with a bowl of porridge, it fills you up and it's supposed to be a slow energy releasing food which is supposed to keep you going until dinner.

I often have a bowl for breakfast but it doesn't always keep me feeling full.

After a breakfast like that for a few years, you will be a regular visitor to the doctor's or the Hospital anyway.........:)

1) If you're starving hungry all day. Your body is crying for energy, cos your sugar level have dropped, that's why you feel faint.

2) When you have a meal, what did you have ? Was it something very acidic (i.e. meat) which leads your stomach to produces a lot of acid which feels like you're 'hungry' ?

3) Was the amount of food enough to last you ? Also, was it a type of food which takes a long time to digest, and therefore releases sugar steadily and slowly ? e.g. wholesome food like porridge, pulses. Fibrous food type like vegetables, fruits.

4) If you feel like eating all day, day in, day out. It can be:
a) cos maybe you've had something sugary, and have a sugar craving
b) you didn't eat enough to begin with, so your sugar level drops

5) You said sometimes you don't eat. Don't do this. Cos if you think of your body as a machine, which needs fuel in order to run. The days that you don't eat means it will slow down and stop. Any oil starts to dry up. When you eat again, you're firing it up again, but it takes time to warm up before it goes efficiently. So always eat something. Make your meals a regular thing.

6) Exercises. - I would say that you do a lot of exercise, and maybe you burn off a lot more than your intakes. Also, depending on what you eat, it may not be the type of food that releases steady energy in your body, which is what's needed when you run. Don't you feel you're kind of exhausted and lethargic when you do run ?

No more than half a dozen a day though. I was devouring the ruddy things and I had some bad side effects. I mentioned this to a wholefoods fan at work and she told me I was eating way too many - half a dozen is the maximum to avoid the trots - and it was no wonder I couldn't stop trumping! :gag:

Go to your doctors and get tested for diabetes as extreme hunger is a classic symptom.

True — but think of all the happier days! Thankfully for the original Poster, I left out the three slices of Black Pudding and two slices of liver. I thought that might be a bit too much to start with. And within a month or so a small portion of chips and a large spoonful of mashed potatoes could be added. You’re set up for the day when you reach that stage.

Spot on and get plenty of carbs down you, such as pasta or rice. Go see a Doctor too.

Ive heard that if you eat more protein it makes you feel less hungry than if you eat carbohydrates. It doesnt sound like a balanced diet mind you but it might help. But theirs nothing wrong with feeling hungry if your doing lots of excercise... Just make sure its not lots of fatty foods!!
