maybe for the oldies who are young at heart, what was your favourite era, mine was while i was at school in the seventies going to the school disco with my hair looking like farrah fawsett-majors,wearing the gypsiy skirts, with white tights and black high heels, I think the top that was in at the time was a short puffed sleeve top,...what was yours.
music wise the bay city rollers, were the in thing,(shang-a-lang)
Mine was the fifties, with full skirts both under and over.
Pointed bras, nipped in waists (mine was 21 inches). Early rock and roll, Elvis, Everly Bros.
Cheap stockings from the market 1/11, just to go bopping in cos you knew there would be no feet in them by the time you got home.
Half day closing cos you could go to the coffee bars when you finished work at 1.
Oh yes, I
really used to dig this.

We all look back with rose tinted glasses don't we? The seventies were great other than being skint all the time, the sixties were nicer as I didn't need as much money, buying house, starting family etc.
The 80's and 90's were the making money and climbing the ladder time and I wonder if it was all worth it, 20 years of ambition is enough for anyone.
Current times are interesting as I have lost all my ambitions employment wise and see great travel opportunities looming. Walking on an empty beach and feeling totally content with myself feels great, I was so busy in the past that this would have been lost on me.
You know what they say ' youth is wasted on the young'.
Definitely the 70's for me.:D

Definately the early fifties for me- the City Hall Saturday dances- the excitement when someone other than your friends actually asked for a dance. The Sunday hanging around Ecclesfield park with with your mates- male & female then the walk home to a posh Sunday tea. Gosh they were good old days-
We all dressed in a sort of uniform- altho' we thought we were different- tight pencil skirt white blouse with a tiny black bow, not too high heels (cos I was tall) and the earrings- a different pair every week which were a talking point at the dances. Going on a bit aren't I!!
