KirstyLou 11-04-2006, 14:38 I wonder if someone somewhere can help me. Im wanting to take my fella away for the night, need someone romantic (if you know what i mean) Fancy going to a luxery hotel somewhere in Derbyshire or thereabouts, somewhere with a jacuzzi in the room etc (you can imagine what for). Been searching the web but cannot find anything. Please help
:)

Ginger_Kitty 11-04-2006, 14:44 ok i don't know about the jacuzzi, but i know a nice romantic B&B in Malham North Yorks, Beck Hall has 4 poster beds, very nice owners and is in a wonderful part of the yorkshire dales :)
Good for the slightly smaller budget too ;)

In Yarm. North Yorks. Not a personal recommendation but sounds nice.

Have stayed at a couple of these and these were gorgeous –the Moon fleet one is lovely – really quirky but stylish (based on the book) but a bit far to go just for a weekend. The ones i went to didn't have spa pools in the rooms though.
There are luxury 4 and 5* (but pricey) hotels in the lake district. Try searching on the internet.
rocketman 11-04-2006, 15:35 Fischer's at Baslow Hall is a great place, Michelin starred dining and lovely rooms as well. Hassop Hall is also a lovely place for a weekend away.

Judges isn't great, it's a bit out of date and out of touch. It needs a renovation (the renovation mentioned on the website is from when they first converted it into a hotel about 10+ years ago), but that isn't reflected in the prices. The staff aren't that great either.. I've worked/went to school with most of them!
However I can recommend Crathorne Hall Hotel, it's beautiful there.. and just down the road from Judges. Part of the "handpicked" hotel group.

fozzybronze 11-04-2006, 19:01 Took the wife to Crab Manor (http://www.crabandlobster.co.uk/) in Asenby, North Yorkshire.
Consumed numerous bottles of wine in the hot tub during a very frosty January weekend, a couple of years back. Fantastic!!
Just finished paying for it though!!
