A question of great importance. Will Leeds beat the drop? Will Man. City bail them out? (OK that's 2 questions!)

Hopefully they'll not avoid it and with a bit more luck they'll join Wednesday in Division 2 the year after :)

Hopefully they will get relegated... They could be playing the Owls and Doncaster the season after next! Well, Doncaster anyway.... but they may have to wait till they are in division 3 before they get to play the Owls!

Can't see it happening, with the current depleted squad i'm not confident they can bounce straight back either.

It's a pity Weds. and Utd. still use this subject to have a dig at each other! I thought this may offer scope for all Sheffielders to unite and enjoy the discomfort experienced up the M1 and not least by the TV companies up there.

Replying to: Leeds United - Will they avoid the drop?

maybe a mod should lock this now?

Welcome to Nationwide, Leeds Utd.

Leeds go down, Hull go up. Time for me to celebrate. And wait eagerly for the fixture list for next season so's I can book Hull's trip to Hillsborough off work...and something tells me I'll be celebrating again after that match.

Well said ZEDEX48K, These dirty piggies really need to learn and show some respect for their betters, i.e Wednesday fans.

Without Sheffield Wednesday, there would be no footballing connection with Sheffield whatsoever, You gotta understand ZEDEX - They are a division above us so they are extremely mighty now!? they've never had it so good ( DIV 1 ) ha ha ha!

Let them say what they like we KNOW we are classier than they will ever be and therefore do not have to resort to every arguement ending in a dig at the other Sheffield side. . . they don't know any better bless them, im not sure if they'll ever learn what greatness is but it can do no harm to pretend.

Sheffield Wednesday fans do not feel the need to lower themselves to petty arguements about who reigns in Sheffield, We already know.

Wow Patchy, your replies get funnier and funnier, where do you get these quick one-liners? . . .maybe reading the last few posts would have been an idea - it would have helped you to understand my reply to Zedex. But it's really ok, as you are so hilariously funny i dont mind . . but please do stop as i may run out of tissues to wipe the tears from my eyes.

Have you ever thought of being a comedian? seriously, as i think you'd be great . . theres no real thinking in your replies but they always make people cringe . . er . . i mean, giggle.

you funny man you.

They got rid of those thugs Bowyer and Woodgate.

They even got rid of O'Leary.

So why do I still hate Leeds United so much? Is it healthy? Am I normal? Where are my pills? :loopy:

Hand on heart, I think it's because of the bad experience I had at my last job (in Leeds, yet full of smelly Mancs)

I think it's just inherant in the people of Sheffield Abdul, It's like Posh Spice . . we don't know why we hate her - we just do!

Anything to do with the fact that she grins like a costipated T-Rex at every premiere she go's to? and why oh why does she have to do that stupid thing with her upturned snout and stick her leg around the front of David at every opportunity??
Aaaaaaaaaagh!

sorry, back to the Leeds thing eh.

A united fan was sitting with a leeds and a wednesday fan in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled barrel of beer, when all of a sudden, Saudi police entered and arrested them.
They were initially sentenced to death but they contested this and were finally imprisoned for life.
But, it was a national holiday, the Sheikh decided they should be released after receiving 20 lashes of the whip.
As they were preparing for their punishment, the Sheikh suddenly said:
"It's my first wife's birthday today, and she asked me to allow each of you one wish before your whipping."
So the wednesday fan said: "Please tie a pillow to my back.", This was done but the pillow only lasted 10 lashes before the whip went through,?
The leeds fan, watching the scene, and said: "Please fix two pillows on my back?"., But even two pillows could only take 10 lashes before the whip went through again.?
Before the blade fan could say something, the Sheikh turned to him and said: "As you are from the right side of a popular city, with almost full employment , clean air and your women are beautiful you can have two wishes!".
"Thank you, Most Royal and Merciful Highness", The blades fan replies.
"My first wish is: "I would like to have 40 lashes."
if you so desire", the Sheik replies with a questioning look on his face, "and your second wish?"
"Tie the wednesday fan to my back!"

Nice one carcrash

If I may respond...

You're in a room with a tiger, a poisonous snake and a Sheffield United fan.

Your gun has two bullets. What do you do (see below for answer)

Shoot the Sheffield United fan twice

No don't be daft, they won't go down to Div 2, oh no sorry this is an old thread from before they were bankrupted.

Hull go up. [/B]

Yeah well done Peter Failure. Stacks of cash and still couldn't win that league. Bye bye Hull, you'll be going back unless you lose the donkey.
