Does anyone know how to, or if its even possible to, embed fonts in OpenOffice Writer?

It works like word, so I don't think it's possible. Best bet is to use the PDF function, but then of course noone can edit it...

How you mean embed fonts on open office ? Do you mean in a document so that it can be viewed in any pc regardless of what fonts it has installed ?

Fonts are picked up from c:/windows/fonts aren't they ?

Yes to both questions. Fonts are taken from there, but a font which is embedded, isn't. It's taken from the file that it is 'included' with

There is an option in Word that allows it, but the downside is obviously the file size, its increased by about 200k.

I just presumed there would be an option in OO as this is something Word can do.
