A.B.Yaffle 26-04-2004, 21:23 Will let you know if i find a club that plays "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enought", "Rockin' Robin", "Billie Jean", "The Boy Is Mine" etc. lol A.B.Yaffle 26-04-2004, 21:25 Ooooops! I meant "The GIRL Is Mine" Lestat 26-04-2004, 21:33 Guess what Patchyosaurus, I know it'll surprise you but I already know clubs that play MJ. Thats why i was asking about Rap music.. Mong. A.B.Yaffle 26-04-2004, 21:36 sorry... i couldn't resist it lol Lestat 26-04-2004, 21:41 LOL! you just don't stop till you get enough do you! i knew you'd probably wannabe startin' somethin. mr.blaze 27-04-2004, 15:26 The answer to that is quite simple....No:o( Sometimes places play the odd track but there's nowhere in town to my knowledge. Lestat 28-04-2004, 20:01 Why not? . . Surely someone in Sheffield knows a club that plays Rap music and has abit of personality about it - everywhere else seems to be just 70's and 80's and dance!! WHAT ABOUT RAP! PuressenceUK 29-04-2004, 08:18 Let me know where it is so I can avoid! niko007 29-04-2004, 13:13 Try the Tuesday Club up at the University near the Childrens Hospital Resident DJ's play a wide range of rap from hardcore to oldskool and they also have some of the big DMC names up there as well One problem its on .....wait for it a tuesday night and is a nightmare for getting up for work the next day ( cheap drinks ) welchiewelch 29-04-2004, 14:45 Alright there Letstat ! We spin a lot of hip hop at Phonetics, sats at Element...british / US / a touch of French - old and new stuff - it's mixed up with other stuff throughout the night but you should hear enough hip hop on most Phonetics nights to keep ur neck bobbing. Cheers Lestat 29-04-2004, 20:32 Sats at Element? where is that Welchie - is it in the city centre, I think i've heard of it but could do with some directions as i will no doubt be pretty intoxicated when in search! fnkysknky 29-04-2004, 21:36 Element, used to be Po Na Na - it's on Charter Square just down from Bar Matrix. mr.blaze 30-04-2004, 11:38 Quite a few places play Hip Hop but is there anywhere that plays Gangster Rap? Nanimo 01-05-2004, 18:01 I think there's a place called Orchid or orchis or something in the basement of a place called Ice Bar... I think... I've only been there once and I was highly intoxicated, but I think they were playing reggae when I went, but they may have one night out of the seven that will cater to your rap loving ways.... pacman 03-05-2004, 11:54 Quite rare to find a place that does decent Hip Hop really, not found many. I was in the Showroom a few months back though and he was playing some top old school, by the time he played LL Cool J's "jack the ripper" I had to go and shake the man's hand, haha dmjh 04-05-2004, 14:49 THERE'S A FREESTYLE RAPPER AT THE BEDROOM ON WEST STREET TONITE - TUESDAY 4TH...SHOULD BE A GOOD NITE, AND MAY BECOME A REGULAR EVENT IF HE'S ANY GOOD. mr.blaze 06-05-2004, 11:33 I went to see Gza Genius from Wu Tang Clan at Corporation on Monday. Gza himself was fantastic but the night lacked promotion so the turn out was very poor. Eurogang played who I must say were pretty ****e. They wouldn't give my friend an interview either which isn't going to help boost their reputation as he's now written a review slating them. It's a shame corporation didn't do a better job promoting the night as I'm sure if they had of done so the place would have been packed. timmymosh 11-05-2004, 00:07 rap is very repetitive and has had its day to be fair its all a load of bull**** the only stuff i like is Eminem, biggy smalls andsnoop dog what do you lot think timmymosh 11-05-2004, 00:09 whats gooing on with all the new gigs corps having they had bloody blu cantrell a few weeks ago and now wu tang clan and why can you not ****ing swear on this thing i only use it for emphasis welchiewelch 12-05-2004, 15:41 You only like biggie smalls, eminem etc....... I think you haven't been listening to the right hip hop !! Lestat 12-05-2004, 16:36 yea, i sort of agree with Welchie . . Biggie & Eminem are ok but theres some other, much better stuff out there now which isn't getting played as much as it should do in clubs. katedave 24-01-2011, 21:18 out of interest are any 65 years old older interested in forming a rap group. |
