as i was tought in my religion subject when i was young, jesus is a son of god. he ascended into heaven by god's will. thats the miracle that no one could answer. thats why we have god, if some people wont believe it, its their choice.

His surname wasn't Christ - that was his title (Jesus was THE Christ). So, no, Joseph and Mary were not Mr and Mrs Christ.

Christ comes from the Greek, Christos. The title Christ is in essense a confession of faith. It literally means 'the anointed one.' The Hebrew equivallent (therefore as used in the Old Testament) is Messiah.

ok i think i have the anwser after watching some seriouslt wierd films last night:suspect: .........im only guessing here ..........jesus's spirit lifted out of his body rose to heaven. And that is how one accends to heaven i think :huh:

p.s i dont think when he was suposedly resurected he was resurected fully i suspect only his spirit was resurected and then after he finished his buisness here then god lifted him up to the heavens?

You see, I believe that the problem with a lot of people trying to understand the bible (and probably other religious books although I cant' speak for them) is that they take it far too literally.

The bible is a book of teaching, it's full of stories that aren't true, but they all point to the truth. It's almost like an extended metaphor in many ways.
Jesus tells stories that may not necessarily be true, he healed people but whilst we read that he lays his hand on a blind man and makes him see, this may not mean blind as we understand it.

Remember, it was written a hell of a long time ago and you can't take it all literally.

My belief is you pray, talk to God, try to know Jesus and then interpret the bible how you can. That's why people simply can't understand the bible and due to their ignorance, they choose to make jokes that could easily offend some believers :rolleyes:

Not wishing to be pedantic, but I think it says that Jesus 'ascended ' into Heaven.
For the the thicko's among you, this does not mean he went vertically upwards, but was moved into a higher plane. As you do when you are the Son of God etc.
